Some of you may no i love John Piper's preaching. I quite like some of his books to, but they are nothing on his preaching!
I especially like his series on Worship. I haven't listened to them all yet, but its so refreshing to hear someone passionate about worshiping God, but about doing it the way God intended. Not the way we think it should be done.

i LOVE john piper's sermons! i hope you actually listen to them and don't just read them!! i especially love his prayers before each sermon, filled with humility, passion and conviction. merry christmas :)

ReplyDeleteThanks heaps for introducing me to Piper's teaching, I've been checking out a heap of hsi stuff over the past few weeks. Of that series on worship I've only listened to "singing and making melody to the lord" (funnily enough:p) Im gonna have to check out some of the others. I did read another one not in that series entitled "ambushing satan with song". The title caught my attention and it was an interesting read (i didnt listen to that one sorry Kath!) I'd be interested in a second oppinion on it though...
You've heard about the passion conference Chris? They're going global next year and will be in Sydney in August, Piper has often preached at those, so I'm hoping he'll be in Sydney next August.
